Lionheart Graphics' Richard Budd was delighted to be invited to the Southampton Media Careers Fair at the Cities Guildhall to give a talk on the topic of "Becoming a New Media Expert"

With a turnout of some 3,000 people the event was seen as a huge success. Richard's talk focused on his own background and training.

"The beauty of this medium is simple. It's all about change, and how you can react to a moving market. The best part of the day for me was being a part of people's futures, giving the best advice possible to encourage growth and understanding in my subject."

Richard also made himself available for questions at the BBC stand during the day.

"How can I build my portfolio?" and "Can you take a look at my C.V. and tell me what you think?"

During the event the BBC encouraged visitors to have a go at reading the news.
